About FilmCam.

Film photography didn’t die — it just got noisy. The internet is full of maybe-it-works listings, “tested but not really” cameras, and import scams that ship a brick. We started FilmCam to fix that for India: every camera is opened, cleaned, exercised, shot through, graded, and only then listed. If we wouldn’t use it, we won’t sell it.

We source film bodies, lenses, and analogue accessories from across India and the world. We test every piece against a four-tier rubric (Mint, Excellent, Good, Working) and write what we found in plain English. No theatre, no “collector grade” padding.

Most of what we sell sells fast. Some pieces sit because they’re right for one specific person. That’s fine — we’re not in a hurry, and you shouldn’t be either.

Every camera is graded against the same rubric. We never call something “Mint” that has visible wear. We never call something “Working” that has a known fault. See the full rubric with sample photos at how we grade.

We’re based in India and ship across the country via Delhivery + India Post. International shipping on request. Email filmcamindia@gmail.com if you want a camera that isn’t listed yet — we keep a small wait-list and source on request.

These are vintage cameras. Things can drift after decades of use. We cover any camera that arrives different from how we described it within 72 hours of delivery — see our return policy for the specifics. Beyond that window, age-related wear is part of the deal.
